For my Homework 2 project I made a stamp. I had a design I drew digitally that I transferred to illustrator. I think I drew my image too small, because it was a bit pixelated when I cut it.

Laser Cut Stamp |
I don't actually have any printing ink yet, so to test the stamp I tried using watercolors, which was really the only thing I had available at the time. The material I used was a bit glossy, which meant the watercolor was not a fan of it. Needless to say, the print turned out sort of awful, but all of the details seemed to be present. I think once I get printing ink the gloss won't be much of a problem and hopefully the print will turn out better (I'll upload an update once I do).

Watercolor Test Print |
In the future, I'll have to be more conscious of the materials I use. I'll also need to remember to flip the image, because my prints are technically backwards.
Hoping this works out well as a stamp, but even if it doesn't, I sort of like it as just a laser cut image too!
